Literary Week 23rd April 2014- 29th April 2014

As a part of our initiative of enhancing the literary skills of the students and inculcating in them good reading habits, the school hosted a Literary Week in collaboration with the eminent children’s publisher, Scholastic India Pvt Ltd., for the students of Classes I-XII from 23rd April 2014 to 29th April 2014.It was inaugurated by the honorable Principal, Mrs. Anita Shah.

The Literary Week commenced on 23rd April 2014,on the occasion of William Shakespeare’s birthday, who was an English poet, playwright and actor, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world’s pre-eminent dramatist.

There was a series of weeklong competitions and events for the all classes.

As one entered the Reception area itself, one could feel the pulse and the magnitude of the event. The entire school was abuzz with activity. It was a week of fun and learning which culminated with the Prize distribution ceremony.

Inter-House Debate

An inter-house debate was held for classes XI-XII on April 29, 2014.The topic was “Most Modern Advertising is at Best Deceiving and at Worst Immoral” There were 3 participants from each house and the time allotted to each participant to present his/her views was 2.5 to 3 minutes.

Kartika Menon (XII A) of Sagar House was adjudged Best Speaker for the Motion, Sarandha Chandel (XII B) of Pawan House ,the Best Speaker against the Motion,and Simrat Sinsinwar (XII A) of Pawan House, the Best Interjector. The prize for Best Team was won by Pawan House.
