Orientation class for parents and students of Class XI
The Principal conducted an orientation class on online program through Microsoft Teams in the school on 28 April 2020 for the parents, students and teachers of class XI. The programme was conducted to familiarize the Class XI parents and students with Class XI session 2020-21. An introductory session was conducted to make the parents and the students aware of the school ethos by laying emphasis on how Army Public School Noida strives to be a model Army Public school offering broad and challenging educational opportunities to learners from diverse backgrounds. Parents queries regarding their ward’s allotted stream were answered. It was reiterated that Army Public school Noida is committed to inspiring students to achieve the highest standards of intellectual and personal development through a stimulating and comprehensive programme.
Orientation for class I
Orientation for class I was conducted on 14th The program included a welcome note, prayer song were sung by primary students. A talk show was also organized by the primary wing students to enlighten the parents on what it means to study in the APSN Primary Wing. Wing in charge discussed the teaching methodologies, expectations from students and parents as well as the change from traditional teaching to online teaching for the students. The parents were informed by the principal of the added responsibility that they have to now undertake in their child’s life. Questions on syllabus, teaching , work and other concerns of the parents were answered. The orientation was well received by the parents.

Maj Gen Samir Gupta, GOC 40 Arty Div and Patron accompanied by Brig A Ragesh, Cdr 261 Arty Bde and Chairman APS NOIDA visited the school on 28 Nov 2020. The Principal gave a comprehensive briefing to the Patron on school acievements, ongoing issues and action taken to implement COVID-19 protocol in the school. The Patron felicitated the achievers of CBSE Class XII (2019-20) by presenting tablets and cash prizes.
Mrs. Ashlesh Thakur, Chairperson Asha Greeting Card Committee & Schools visited the school on 14th Jan 2020. The points discussed during the visit are as under:-
(a) Overview of school activities.
(b) Preparedness of board exams.
(c) Progress on smart goals.
APS NOIDA organized the real time viewing of the Pariksha Pe charcha session led by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 20th Jan 2020 from 11.00 A.M onwards in the school premises. The opportunity to view the session was available to all parents and students of our school. During the program, PM Modi interacted with students, teachers and parents. The PM advised the students to aim big in life but not to get carried away in the process of realizing them. He also stressed the importance of co-curricular activities along with curricular pursuits. With less than a month to go for the class X and XII examinations, he discussed ways to handle the exam stress in the interactive session. The PM answered questions on varied topics which were raised by students in the audience or from far flung areas of country – for example while answering a query on role of technology in a students’ life, raised by a class X student from Andaman and Nicobar Islands, he discussed the advantages and ways to handle technology to our benefit. Our students were thoroughly engrossed in the session and have greatly benefited. The school teachers conducted a post viewing interaction session with the students on the program to reiterate the learning shared by the Honorable Prime minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Brig Sandeep Tyagi, Cdr 785(I) AD Bde and Chairman APS Ambala Cantt visited the school on 23 Nov 2019. He discussed various aspects of student performance and instilling leadership skills in the students. Brig Sandeep Tyagi also visited the school and appreciated the APS NOIDA infrastructure as well as gave workable solutions for implementing games and sports activities. The Principal discussed students smart goals and a performance tracker to keep up to date with class & individual performance. Best practices were shared for overall improvement of the schools.
Maj Gen Samir Gupta, GOC 40 Arty Div and Patron APS NOIDA visited the school first time on 12th Oct 2019 after assuming the appointment. He was accompanied by Brig A Ragesh, Cdr 261 Arty Bde and Chairman APS NOIDA.
As part of Kargil Diwas Celebrations, 59 students from class IX accompanied by 03 teachers visited National War Memorial adjacent to the India Gate, New Delhi on 23 July 2019. Likewise on 24th July 2019, 50 students of class IX accompanied by three teachers visited the National War Memorial.
Maj Gen Anil Khosla, AVSM, SM, VSM** (Retd), MD AWES visited the school on 03rd Oct 2019. The Chairman was also present for the visit. The Principal updated the MD on the major highlights of the school
Mrs. Rajashree Gopal (wife of Lt Gen R Gopal, QMG), Chairperson Eco System Management Committee, Central AWWA visited the school on 23 Sep 2019. Aim of the visit was to see the eco-friendly status maintained by the school.
Interaction of Principal with Primary Wing Parents
The Principal interacted with the wives of JCOs & OR whose children are studying in primary classes on 10th May 2019. The Principal firstly addressed various concerns raised by the mothers during the interaction. Thereafter, the Principal motivated the mothers about the measures to be adopted at home for academic advancement of their children. The Principal also advised the mothers that the children should not be made aware about parent’s weak command over the English language, rather try and handle the situation in such a manner that it motivates them to learn and speak language from within. She also made emphasis on homework, study plan during summer break, habit of self-study, reading habit and control on mobile use during studies etc.
ISRO Educational Trip
26 students of classes VIII to XI accompanied by three teachers went on an educational trip to Kerala for 07 days from 13th to 19th May 2019. The team visited Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Thiruvananthapuram where they interacted with scientists and gained knowledge on the Indian space science programme.
Christmas Gifts Donation
On the occasion of Christmas, (festival of love and sharing) students of this school took the initiative of collecting gifts for the less fortunate. The contribution includes 7 cartons and 2 bags of woolen, stationery and gifts which were donated to `Goonj’ an NGO on 29th Dec 2018.
Outing for Movie
An outing to watch the movie (morning show) titled `THUGS OF HINDUSTAN’ (Hindi)was conducted for the 25 hostellers on 10th November 2018 (Saturday) at Logix Mall. The hostellers were accompanied by Mrs. Nishu Sachdeva, Hostel Warden, Mrs. Madhu Tyagi, Receptionist and Ms. Manju Bilung, Hostel Matron.
Excursion – Factory Visit.
On 6th Sept 2018, Commer ce students of class XII (total 24 students) , were taken to Mother Dairy Plant, Patparganj, Delhi as a part of their CBSE project in subject Business Studies. They were accompanied by Mrs. A. Annapoorna (PGT commerce) and Mr. Gaganedra Thakur ( TGT Music). The students were told about the firm’s inception, vision, objectives, production methods etc. with the help of a movie by the supervisor Mr.M.Pillai.
After a brief explanation, the students were taken for a round in the factory area. The students were able to co relate their theoretical knowledge with practical applicability of principles and techniques of management. The students also interacted with the staff.
The visit concluded with a thanks giving note by Mr.M.Pillai and distribution of flavoured milk and Ice Cream among the students.
Outing for Movie
Outing for movie `Soorma’ at Logix Movie Theatre, NOIDA was organized for the students of this school. The movie was based on the life of Indian Hockey player Sandeep Singh who was paralyzed after an accidental gunshot injury. He fought against all odds and made a comeback to international hockey two years after the incident.
Orientation Programme for Class 1
An orientation programme for the students of class I and their parents was organized at this school on 7th April 2018. 62 parents and the new students were given a warm welcome and were familiarized with the functioning of the school. They were given a glimpse of what they expect from the school and what is expected from them. Mrs. Vani Garg (Parent) and Dr. Renu Kishore (Child Psychologist) were invited for the event. Dr. Renu Kishore conducted an interactive session with parents and shared meaningful insights regarding the mental health of children and parenting. This was followed by a question and answer session.
Visit to Anmol Biscuit Factory
25 Commerce Students of class XII accompanied by two teachers visited Anmol Biscuit Factory, 38A, Udyog Vihar, Greater NOIDA as part of their CBSE project in subject Business Studies on 11th August 2017.
Visit to Aero City Dwaraka
Mrs. Kavita Sharma, TGT (Physics) accompanied by 13 students of this school who are the members of Aero Modelling Club (classes VI to X) visitedAero planet Dwaraka, Delhi on Saturday, 20th May 2017. Mr. DC Gupta, Director, Aero planet explained to the students how aircraft works. Students had an experience of sitting in cockpit.
Visit to Sariska
Mrs. Kavita Sharma, TGT (Physics) and Mrs. Sneh Bhardwaj, TGT (Computer Science) accompanied by 28 students of Astronomy Club (classes VI to X) went for an educational tour to Astroport, SPACE Research Facility Centre, Tehla, Sariska, Alwar, Rajasthan for an Overnight Sky Observation Session from 28th to 29th April 2017. The visit was organized in collaboration with Space Technology & Education Pvt Ltd, an agency specialized in organizing such educational tours for the school students.
