Farewell for Class XII Students

School organized a farewell for the students of class XII batch 2017-18 on 28th December 2017 wherein all the parents were also invited.  The Chief Guest for the function was Lt.Gen.Ravi Shankar, PVSM, VSM (Retd) who addressed the students to follow their heart with conviction, passion and dedication. He told them never to lose from setbacks in life but to use every failure as an opportunity to bounce back with resilience.

 Vijay Diwas Ceremony

NOIDA Shaheed Smarak Sanstha organized Vijay Diwas ceremony at Shaheed Memorial located right in front of the School on 23rd December 2017.  Lt Gen Sarath Chand, AVSM, SM, VSM, VCOAS was the Chief Guest for the function.  School premises was venue for the release of souvenir, tea arrangements and signing of the visitors’ book.  The school choir group and some staff members were involved in the success of the function.

Visit GOC-In-C Western Command

  • Lt Gen KJ Singh, AVSM**, GOC-in-C Western Command visited APS NOIDA on 09 May 2015. He was accompanied by Maj Gen Sanjeev Kanal, GOC 40 Arty Div & Patron APS NOIDA, Maj Gen Abhay Krishna, AVSM, SM, VSM, Officiating GOC Delhi Area and Brig KS Jawanda, Cdr 261 Arty Bde & Chairman APS NOIDA. The Principal gave a power point presentation to the GOC-in-C on the school activities and ongoing issues.

Investiture Ceremony ( Senior Wing )

Investiture Ceremony for prefectorial board (senior wing) was conducted in May 2016. Lt Gen GL Bakshi, PVSM (Retd), Chairman NOIDA Shaheed Smarak Sanstha was the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest handed over the badges to the
Head Prefect, Captains and Vice Captains of the five houses and other members of the Prefectorial Board. This was followed by oath taking ceremony.

AWES DAY CELEBRATIONS

A special assembly was organized by the students of class XII on the occasion of AWES Day in April 2016. Theme of the special assembly was `Education – Making the world a Better Place’. The Principal addressed the assembly encompassing the importance of the day followed by reading of world news, talk on education and AWES,Poem recitation and cultural programme by students.

Candle Light Ceremony at NOIDA Shaheed Smarak

The Principal along with two teachers and 25 students attended the Candle Light Ceremony at the Shaheed Smarak in April 2016. It was a solemn function to commemorate the Smark’s Dedication Day. Candles were lit by Senior Citizens and students to remember and pay homage to the brave hearts who had made the supreme sacrifice thus making us all and the country proud.

Astronomy Day

Astronomy Day was celebrated in the school in March 2016. On the day,students displayed the work done during the club activities throughout the year. The students showed how to launch rockets and made comet by using dry ice and soya sauce. Along with the Astronomy Club, Aeromodelling and Robotic Club students also displayed their models like hovercraft, aero plane. Parents witnessed the work of the students on the PTM day.

Investiture Ceremony (Primary Wing)

Investiture and Annual prize distribution ceremony of Primary Wing was conducted at this school in April 2016. Mr. Sushil Chandra Tripathi, IAS (Retd) and Maj Gen DK Sen, AVSM (Retd) were Guests of Honour of the function. Prizes (Trophies & Books) distributed to students who excelled in academics and extra-curricular activities.

Farewell Function for class V.

A beautiful and touching farewell function for class V students was organized in February 2016. Highlights of the programme were musical games and colourful cultural event. The students thanked the teachers for their constant
support and guidance.

Annual Wreath Laying Ceremony at NOIDA Shaheed Smarak.

Gen Dalbir Singh,PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, COAS was the Chief Guest for the function held at NOIDA Shaheed Smarak on 17 February 2016. Our school was venue for tea arrangements, signing of the visitor’s book and release of souvenir. The school choir group,staff members and a group of senior students were also involved and contributed to the
success of the programme.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME (CLASS X & XI)

Army Public School, Noida conducted an Orientation Programme for the parents of the students of Classes X & XI. Mr. Jitin Chawla, an eminent Career Counsellor, was the guest speaker on the occasion. The programme started with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony amidst the chanting of auspicious shlokas and a spiritual dance for seeking blessings of Goddess Saraswati. This was followed by a motivational address by the Principal of the school, Mrs Anita Shah. In her address, Mrs Shah highlighted the need and the importance for the parents and school to work in coordination to ensure an effective and holistic development of the students. She also threw light on the crucial factors to be considered before selecting a stream in the XI standard. This was followed by a brief presentation on issues related to school academics and examination pattern. The students also presented a dance on Ude Khwaabon Ke Parindey expressing their dreams and aspirations for the future. Following the dance was a highly humorous and engaging session by Mr. Jitin Chawla, the guest speaker, who highlighted the career prospects for students from all the streams like Science, Commerce and Humanities. The session concluded with an interactive session between the parents and Mr. Chawla wherein the parents were given an opportunity to clarify their doubts pertaining to the various streams and the available career options.

Army Public School, Noida conducted an Orientation for the parents of the students of Classes VIII & IX on 02nd May, 2015. The programme started with the invocation of Lord Ganesha and a spiritual dance for seeking blessings of Goddess Saraswati. This was followed by address by the Principal of the school, Mrs Anita Shah. In her address, Mrs Shah highlighted the changes which come in adolescence and the parents’ role in managing the same. She also suggested the parents some essential ways to help their children strike a balance between academics and other interests of life for holistic development of the students. This was followed by brief presentations on issues related to school academics and examination pattern, discipline and co- curricular activities by the faculty members. The students presented a dance on Khwaab Jo Tujhe Jagaye expressing their dreams and aspirations for the future. The session concluded with an interactive session between the parents and the Principal along with the Vice Principal wherein the parents were given an opportunity to clarify their doubts and share their experiences.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME (CLASS VI)

Army Public School, Noida conducted an Orientation for the parents of the students of Class VI on 11th April 2015, Saturday in the school auditorium. The guest speaker for the occasion was Dr Renu Malaviya from Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi. The programme started with the invocation of Lord Ganesha and a spiritual dance for seeking blessings of Goddess Saraswati. This was followed by brief presentations on issues related to adolescents, school academics, co- curricular activities and examination pattern by the school counsellor and faculty members. The students presented a dance on “Khwaab Jo Tujhe Jagaye” expressing their dreams and aspirations for the future. This was followed by address by the Principal of the school, Mrs Anita Shah. In her address, Mrs Shah highlighted the ethos of the school and asked the parents to help their children strike a balance between academics and other interests of life for holistic development of the students. Her address was followed by an interactive session conducted by Dr. Malaviya with the parents, taking their queries on issues related to adolescents. The session ended with the parents submitting their feedback about the session.

Science Week & Exhibition

(i) Science Week. Science week was organized in the school from 13th to 17th July 2015. Students from classes VI to XII participated. Topics of Science Week ware `Ill Effect of Tobacco’ and `Environmental Conservation’. Activities like quiz, poster making, essays, nukkad natak were organized for different classes.

(ii) Science Exhibition. Science exhibition was organised on 24th July 2015 for the students of classes VI to XII. Students’ work like projects and charts were exhibited. Stalls to propagate nutritious food intake were put up. Nukkad Natak on ill effect of tobacco was presented to young minds to make them aware of the peril in use of tobacco.

Vijay Diwas Ceremony 

  • NOIDA Shaheed Smarak Sanstha organized the Vijay Diwas ceremony at NOIDA Shaheed Memorial situated in front of the School on Saturday, 19th December 2015.  Vice Admiral P Murugesan, AVSM, VSM, Vice Chief of the Naval Staff was the Chief Guest for the function.  The School premises was venue for the release of souvenir, tea arrangements and for signing of the visitor’s book.  The school choir group and some staff members were also involved for the success of the function.

  • Lt. General Philip Campose AVSM**,VSM, General-Officer-Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command, visited ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL, NOIDA on 11th July 2014 along with Lt. General Ravindra Pratap Sahi, General- Officer- Commanding 2 Corps, Maj. General Ranbir Singh Salaria, General- Officer- Commanding 40 Artillery Division & Patron Army Public School Noida and Brig. Dinesh Chadha, Commander 261 Artillery Brigade & Chairman APS Noida.

    Students presented a cultural programme on the theme “I believe I can”, depicting a belief in the power of each individual coming together to create a brighter and better world.

    A brief presentation was given by the students working on Project Citizen, Face To Faith, Times Of India, Teach India School Chapter, which are community-outreach programmes. The team is tirelessly contributing in their endeavour to educate the under-privileged and alleviating poverty. They were presented the Best Presentation and Outstanding Performance awards in 2012 and 2013 respectively.

Lt. General Campose complimented the Principal, staff and students for the wonderful programme and motivated them to continue to shine like a jewel in a crown. The Principal, Mrs. Anita Shah, presented the vote of thanks to all the dignitaries for their benign presence.

21st  Raising Day – 1st September, 2015

We celebrated  21st Raising Day on 01 September 2015 with great spirit and fervor.  To commemorate this special occasion the school hosted ‘ECOMIT’ 2015 ~ An Inter school Eco-Commerce – IT fest. Over 250 students from 20+ prestigious schools of Delhi and NCR participated enthusiastically and actively in 9 events.  The events ranged from Programming to Business quiz to Ad-MADS to rhythm compositions etc.  The competitions were followed by an educative cultural show presented by the students of APS Noida.  Brig KS Jawanda, Chairman APS NOIDA was the Chief Guest of the function. The prizes for the day were awarded by Mrs. Harpreet Jawanda, with Khaitan Public School, Noida winning the Overall Trophy.   We being the host school did not compete for the trophy.

Maj Gen Sanjeev Kanal, GOC 40 Arty Div And Patron APS NOIDA, Visit

  • Maj Gen Sanjeev Kanal, GOC 40 Arty Div and Patron APS NOIDA visited the school on 29 October 2014. This was his first visit to the school after assuming the appointment as Patron APS NOIDA. The Patron was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Meena Kanal. Brig KS Jawanda, Chairman APS NOIDA and Mrs. Harpreet Jawanda were also present during the visit.

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

  • Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) was celebrated in school on 31st October 2014. Activities which involved collaborative effort to convey the message of importance of unity in sustaining any work were done. The significance of a unified effort for the `Swach Bharat Abhiyan’ was reiterated through the activity of Keeping Public Places Clean which was undertaken by classes I-III. As a part of this Abhiyan, they cleaned their garden and their surrounds. Classes IV-V took laps of the field shouting slogans on various themes such as patriotism, unity etc to mark Run for Unity.

Western Command Principals Meet 2014

  • The Chairman and Principal APS NOIDA attended the Western Command Principals’ Meet 2014 held at APS Pathankot on 16 & 17 October 2014. The Academic Excellence Award 2014 has been conferred to APS NOIDA for securing first position in class XIIth results 2014 in Western Comd. The school had been awarded the rolling trophy for the fifth consecutive year.

Annual Day  &  Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony

Annual Day Functions 2017 (Primary Wing)  was organised in the school on 30th  November 2017. Air Vice Marshall Padmavathy Bandopadhyay PVSM AVSM VSM (Retd) was the  Chief Guest for the function. Mrs and  Lt Gen NK Kapur, PVSM, AVSM (Retd), Lt Gen Gorakh Nath PVSM, AVSM  (Retd), Lt Gen Jagdish Narayanan  PVSM, AVSM, VSM* (Retd) ,  Col RL Bhanot (Retd), Col KM Jha (Retd) Mrs & Col VN  Thapar (Retd)  and other dignitaries attended the programme.  Chief Guest  gave away the prizes to the students of Primary Wing excelling in academic and various co-curricular activities.

Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony (Senior Wing) with a soulful cultural programme titled `Manan’ was conducted in the school on 01st December 2017.  Chief Guest for the occasion was, Lt Gen Ashwani Kumar, AVSM, VSM, Adjutant General.  The Chief Guest gave away the awards to the meritorious students in academics and co-curricular activities.  Maj Gen TK Chawla, Patron, Brig G Srinivas, Chairman were the Guests of Honour. The Chief Guest in his address applauded the students’ efforts and the unique amalgamation of literature and dance forms.
