Raising Day Celebrations
APS NOIDA celebrated its 24th Raising Day on 01st September 2018. Chief Guest for the occasion was Maj Gen K Ravi Prasad, VSM, ADG Arty (B). Mrs. K Lalitha, wife of Maj Gen K Ravi Prasad, VSM gave away the prize to the achievers of the Middle Wing (session 2017-18) and the Chief Guest gave away the prized to the Board Toppers of classes X and XII (Session 2017-18). He addressed the students and applauded the school for its various achievements.
Inter-school Social Science Fest `Socialetics’
APS NOIDA organized an interschool Social Science Fest titled `Socialetics’ on 28th August 2018. It was an annual event attempted to bring thinking minds in the realm of social science together. A series of events of Inter School Competitions organized to celebrate our Raising Day. Around 350 students from twenty schools of the Delhi NCR participated in the competition.
Independence Day Celebration
72nd Independence Day celebrated in this school with fervor. The Principal hoisted the National Flag at 08.30 AM. Students and staff residing in adjoining sectors of the school and hostellers attended the function.
Annual investiture ceremony to mark the formation of Schools’ Student Council was conducted on 11th May 2018. Maj Gen Deepak Obhrai, VSM, GOC 40 Arty Div and Patron APS NOIDA was the Chief Guest and Mrs. Sangeeta Obhrai was the Guest of Honour. The event was attended by the school Chairman, Brigadier G. Srinivas, senior officers of the school management, Mrs. Anita Shah, ex Principal APS NOIDA, parents of the elected representatives, the school’s staff and senior classes of the Primary and Senior Wing. The function started with welcome speech by the Offg Principal, Mrs. Rama Srinivasan. Mrs. Sangeeta Obhrai gave away the badges to the Student Council and Maj Gen Deepak Obhrai administered the oath to all the prefects. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering with an inspirational speech. The function ended with vote of thanks by head prefects of student council.
Farewell for Class XII Students
School organized a farewell for the students of class XII batch 2017-18 on 28th December 2017 wherein all the parents were also invited. The Chief Guest for the function was Lt.Gen.Ravi Shankar, PVSM, VSM (Retd) who addressed the students to follow their heart with conviction, passion and dedication. He told them never to lose from setbacks in life but to use every failure as an opportunity to bounce back with resilience.
Vijay Diwas Ceremony
NOIDA Shaheed Smarak Sanstha organized Vijay Diwas ceremony at Shaheed Memorial located right in front of the School on 23rd December 2017. Lt Gen Sarath Chand, AVSM, SM, VSM, VCOAS was the Chief Guest for the function. School premises was venue for the release of souvenir, tea arrangements and signing of the visitors’ book. The school choir group and some staff members were involved in the success of the function.
Annual Day & Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony
Annual Day Functions 2017 (Primary Wing) was organised in the school on 30th November 2017. Air Vice Marshall Padmavathy Bandopadhyay PVSM AVSM VSM (Retd) was the Chief Guest for the function. Mrs and Lt Gen NK Kapur, PVSM, AVSM (Retd), Lt Gen Gorakh Nath PVSM, AVSM (Retd), Lt Gen Jagdish Narayanan PVSM, AVSM, VSM* (Retd) , Col RL Bhanot (Retd), Col KM Jha (Retd) Mrs & Col VN Thapar (Retd) and other dignitaries attended the programme. Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the students of Primary Wing excelling in academic and various co-curricular activities.
Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony (Senior Wing) with a soulful cultural programme titled `Manan’ was conducted in the school on 01st December 2017. Chief Guest for the occasion was, Lt Gen Ashwani Kumar, AVSM, VSM, Adjutant General. The Chief Guest gave away the awards to the meritorious students in academics and co-curricular activities. Maj Gen TK Chawla, Patron, Brig G Srinivas, Chairman were the Guests of Honour. The Chief Guest in his address applauded the students’ efforts and the unique amalgamation of literature and dance forms.
