Upendra Dwivedi PVSM, AVSM, accompanied by Mrs. Sunita Dwivedi, President AWWA,
visited Army Public School, NOIDA, as he was the Chief Guest at the Annual
Homage Paying Ceremony held at NOIDA Shaheed Smarak to honour the martyrs of
the region.
Army Public School, NOIDA, played a pivotal
role in the solemn event, with a delegation led by the Chairman, Principal and
school prefects. Representing the APS NOIDA fraternity, the Principal and
students laid wreaths in tribute to the fallen heroes, demonstrating their
unwavering commitment to patriotism and service. The school choir’s rendition
of stirring patriotic songs added to the solemnity of the occasion, while
student volunteers ensured the seamless execution of the ceremony through their
exemplary discipline and dedication.
General Upendra Dwivedi commended the contributions
of APS NOIDA, appreciating the choir and volunteers for their efforts. He
further lauded the leadership of the Principal, Ms. Indrani Neogi, in fostering
a culture of patriotism and respect for the Armed Forces. The Chief of Army
Staff, along with other dignitaries, engaged in an interactive session with the
students and shared a meal with them.
The ceremony concluded with a profound sense
of unity and reverence, underscoring APS NOIDA’s commitment to honouring the
nation’s heroes and its role in instilling the values of service and sacrifice
among students. The event reinforced the school’s standing as an institution
dedicated to nation-building and the cultivation of responsible citizens.
