Cubs & Bulbuls /Scouts & Guides/ NCC aim at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.
Scouting is a worldwide movement. It is a voluntary ovement and its motto is 'Be Prepared' for the service of mankind and protection of nature. Army Public School, Noida is registered with Bharat Scouts and Guides, a unit of Cubs and Bulbuls. The cubs and Bulbuls are selected on the basis of interest and physical strength. Cubs and bulbuls is a key step towards scouting and guiding. This training prepares the students to take up bigger tasks in scouting and guiding and also helps in their mental and physical growth.
APS NOIDA offers ‘A’ level certificate program of NCC with 37 U.P. Battalion Ghaziabad as the controlling battalion. NCC at APS NOIDA has both the Junior Division (boys) and Junior Wing (girls). 50 cadets are enrolled each year. As part of the NCC training program, our cadets participate in parades, leadership camps, shooting camps, marathons and various other co-curricular activities. All these undertakings help them in developing key life skills, self-regulation, leadership, communication, collaboration and teamwork skills.
