The school
organised its 28th RAISING DAY CELEBRATIONS on the 1 st of September
2022 to mark its successful completion of 27 years of a fulfilling journey
since its inception on the same day in 1995. The programme began with the
lighting of the lamp followed by a divine invocation dance performance by the
students. Brigadier B.S. Jasrotia, Commander, 261 Artillery Brigade and
Chairman, APS Noida, was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Mrs Vandana Jasrotia,
Sr. FWO also graced the occasion with her presence. The Guests of Honour were
Dr.Mahesh Prasad, Principal, Step by Step School, Noida, Mrs. Loena Srivastava,
Head – Business Development, Scholastic India Pvt. Ltd., Mrs. & Maj Gen Lal and Mrs. & Brig. Bali. The
felicitous presence of the school alumni including the winners of the previous
academic session and their parents further illumined the occasion. The students
gave a brief account of the school’s journey through the years to the present
with a nostalgic zeal and passion. In her address, the Principal, Mrs Jyoti
Rana welcomed the dignitaries, guests and the parents and highlighted the
achievements of the school in the past one year. The cultural programme
featured a full-length dance drama ‘Hauslo Ki Udaan’ which depicted the
modern-day student’s ordeal through the demonic distractions through a
spectacular and mind-boggling performance by the students of both junior and
senior wings. The enraptured audience applauded the presentation. This was
followed by the release of the book ‘Seven’teen Tales’, an anthology of stories
written by seventeen students of APS Noida under the guidance and mentorship of
Scholastic India. In the prize distribution ceremony, the meritorious students
who excelled in their CBSE class X and XII exam and the winners of Smart India
Hackathon 2022 were felicitated. In his keynote address, the Chief Guest,
Brigadier BS Jasrotia congratulated the budding authors and the prize winners.
He motivated the students to pursue success, but in the first place, he urged
them to be good human beings who learn constantly and continue to grow in their
experience. The function culminated when the Vice Principal, Mrs Rama
Srinivasan presented the Vote of Thanks, followed by the rendering of the
National Anthem.
