An
orientation programme for class-I parents was organized on 8th April
2023. The aim of the programme was to familiarize the parents as, “Partners in
progress”, with the rules and regulations of the school. On behalf of the
principal, the coordinator addressed the house and laid stress on effective
communication between the parents and teachers to bridge the gaps and join
hands in the overall development of the child. She introduced the teachers
involved in various activities to the young parents and briefly talked about
scholastic and co-scholastic activities being done in the school throughout the
year. It provided the parents an assurance that the curriculum is planned and
involves kinesthetic learning, the best way to nurture the spark of an
individual. The counsellor Dr. Rani Srivastava presented an overview of
managing the needs of the children at the age of six years. She also shared her
views/gave tips for an effective parenting. Ms. Parul Gairola (asst.
counsellor) requested the parents to give quality time to their wards and be
available to the children as and when they need them. The event culminated with
an open session, one to one interaction of the parents with counsellors wherein
the parents were free to ask any question on issues pertaining to the child.
