To mark the occasion of Children’s Day the school organized a special
assembly by the teachers in the school auditorium. The programme began with the
divine invocation with a prayer song sung by a group of teachers, followed by
the thought for the day by Mrs Preeti Siddhu and news updates by Mr Divyam Bisht.
The talk presented by Mrs Rashmi Chopra enlightened the students about positive
thinking. This was followed by an elegant solo dance performance by Ms Neelam
Anand. Next, the teachers and the principal presented a medley song on the
theme of childhood which kept the student audience energized and mesmerized.
The quiz organized by Ms Neelam encouraged the students to put on their
thinking caps to take the challenge. This was followed by a fun-filled
enactment of a classroom scenario acted out by an energetic group of teachers
who pantomimed a heterogeneous class with differently active learners. Students
greatly enjoyed to watch their teachers’ performance. The officiating
principal, Mrs Indrani Neogi addressed the students and urged them to take part
in curricular and co-curricular activities to improve their overall
personality. The head prefect delivered the vote of thanks and the school rose
to render the national anthem that marked the culmination of the special show
put up by the teachers for the students.
