In the month of October 2023, as part of the ECHS Sparsh
Programme, students from classes X and XII visited the ECHS clinic in Noida.
They went for 11 days in October, owing to completion of their 25 hours. This volunteering initiative aimed to
familiarize the students with the history, purpose, and functioning of the
Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS).
During their one-hour visit in the morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. they were assigned various tasks at different sections of the clinic, such as the registration office, medicine dispensary, laboratory, dental clinic, physiotherapy and more.
Students experience in the ECHS Sparsh Clinic was truly enlightening and fulfilling. They are maintaining a journal of the daily voluntary service done by them. This will help them for a better insightful learning for the same. Serving and assisting the patients at the clinic, interacting with the doctors and staff members, and learning about the various aspects of healthcare provision deepened their appreciation for the contributions of healthcare professionals. They were grateful for the opportunity to be part of this initiative and all students have completed the required 25 hours of active service by this month.
