As mandated by the CBSE to educate students about the concept of disaster risk reduction, several activities were conducted by the Army Public School, Noida.

On 24 January 2024 students of class 9^th presented an awareness programme on earthquake preparedness during the special assembly. From 29 January to 02 February 2024, comprehensive group activities in all curriculum subjects from classes 6 to 9 across all sections were conducted focusing on the topic of the Promotion of Disaster Risk Reduction in school. The objective was to educate and equip students with essential knowledge and skills related to earthquake preparedness, prevention, and response and other hazards.

Some of the activities include Indoor Prevention Drills, Preparation of Emergency Kits, Apparatus for Recording Tremors,   Group Discussions and Reflections. Students also prepared and presented digital storyboards to spread awareness about safe construction practices, Disaster and disability- preventive measures. This week long activity session allowed students to discuss the importance of earthquake preparedness, share ideas on improving personal and community resilience, and ask questions about the concepts covered during various activities.
