The World Earth Day has been observed every year since
its inception on 22 April 1970, to demonstrate support for environmental
protection and promote awareness about multiple challenges posed to environment.
This year's Earth Day theme is “Planet vs. Plastic,” which calls
for a 60% reduction in plastic use by the year 2040.
The Primary Wing of APS NOIDA celebrated the Earth Day with great
enthusiasm with the activities designed to enhance understanding of the budding
learners.
v Special Assembly and Pledge: The students of class III
B highlighted the significance of Earth Day through a thought, a poem, and a dance
performance. They presented a talk on environmental challenges and the urgent
need for collective action. The Assembly concluded with a pledge-taking
ceremony in which the students vowed to take action to protect the planet and
preserve its natural resources.
