APS NOIDA, in its endeavour to protect
the environment and sensitize the students about its importance, organised a
Tree Plantation Drive in the month of July 2024. The event aimed to promote
environmental awareness among students, develop in them a sense of responsibility
towards nature, and encourage them to contribute positively to their
surroundings. The drive was also a part of the ongoing efforts of the school to
create a greener and healthier environment.
Students from classes I-XII were
divided into groups and each group was assigned a specific area and a different
species of tree to plant. In total, 40 saplings were
planted throughout the school premises. A variety of plants were selected,
including Ficus, Jamun, Jasmine and Murraya.
The drive culminated on 25 July 2024
with a special event where Mrs Ritu Chaudhary, Botanist, and member of local
community along with Col IP Singh, President AVRWA, Col Pathania and other members
of AVRWA visited the school for tree plantation.
The tree plantation drive was a
significant step towards making the school environment greener and raising
awareness about environmental conservation. The active participation and
enthusiasm of the students made the event memorable and impactful.
