Army Public School, NOIDA had the distinguished honour of hosting the
finals of the President AWWA Ethics Bowl Competition 2024 on Aug 21, 2024. This
esteemed annual competition, organized by the Army Wives Welfare Association
(AWWA), is conducted across Army Public Schools nationwide, with the aim of
fostering a generation of Indian citizens imbued with robust ethical values and
strong moral principles. In the finals of this year’s competition, the two
contending teams— Team Dhruva representing the Northern Command and Team
Southern Star representing the Southern Command, demonstrated exceptional skill
and commitment.
The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest Ms Sunita Dwivedi, President AWWA and the Guest of Honour Ms Archana Pandey, former President AWWA, who played a pivotal role in the development and success of the Ethics Bowl. The occasion was further distinguished by the presence of Vice President AFWWA, Ms Sarita Singh. The distinguished panel of judges comprised Lt. General A.K. Singh, Param Vishisht Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal and former Lt Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Puducherry; Mr Sidhartha Basu, renowned television producer and quiz show host; and Dr Sabeen H. Rizvi, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, Gargi College, University of Delhi.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the
esteemed guests, followed by a recital of shlokas and a welcome dance performed
by the talented students of APS NOIDA. The Principal, Ms Indrani Neogi extended
a warm and gracious welcome to the distinguished attendees on behalf of the
host school. Additionally, student achievers from various fields, along with the
Student Council Members of APS NOIDA, extended a green welcome to the Chief
Guests and the Judges. Both the finalist teams delivered exemplary
performances, with Team Southern Star ultimately securing the rolling trophy.
The event concluded with a felicitation and prize distribution ceremony,
recognizing all participating team members for their performance. The ceremony
was brought to a close with the rendition of the National Anthem.
