A day without the burden of bags: With this
objective, 'Bagless Day' of Hindi and Sanskrit subjects was organized by the
school on Aug 23, 2024. Various
activities were conducted for the students of classes VI-VIII.
Under Sanskrit activities, singing
Sanskrit shlokas, Shiv Stuti, telling Sanskrit names by looking at pictures,
translating Hindi songs into Sanskrit and solving puzzles were conducted. Next,
a Hindi Poetry Symposium was organized, in which students presented poems
related to heroism, humour, love, devotion and nature. All the students enjoyed
the humour in the poetry symposium. At the end, a skit was presented by the
students, which was a dramatic adaptation of everyday excuses of students. The
skit garnered appreciations from all the student audience.
Further, the students were involved in the activity Bhojpatra in
Sanskrit language wherein students wrote shlokas on Bhojpatra. Lastly, the
students were shown the film 'War Chhod Na Yaar' through which they learnt
about the genre of humour and satire. The students not only
learnt the lesson of world peace but also learnt how to handle the situation
even in adverse circumstances. Overall, this Bagless Day was entertaining,
encouraging, informative and educative with the students enjoying it a lot. The experience provided a comeback to
the mother tongue and the ancient Sanskrit language.
