Kakori Train Action Centenary Celebrations

On Aug 09, 2024, the centenary celebrations of the Kakori Train Action were inaugurated at Army Public School, NOIDA. The event, referred to as the ‘Shatabdi Samaroh,’ commenced with a solemn tribute to the martyrs of the Indian Armed Forces at NOIDA Shaheed Smarak. This homage was paid by Shri Manish Kumar Verma (District Magistrate – GB Nagar), Shri Janardan Singh (Chief Development Officer, Gautam Budh Nagar), and BSA Shri Rahul Pawar, who also visited the school on the preceding day, Aug 08, 2024, for a cultural show performed by Brahmpal Nagar and his team.

The inaugural ceremony on Aug 09, 2024 was distinguished by the presence of several esteemed guests, including Shri Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State; Shri Tej Pal Nagar, Member of the Dadri Legislative Assembly; Shri Natendra Bhati, Member of the Dadri Legislative Assembly; Shri Manish Kumar Verma (DM – GB Nagar), and various other dignitaries.

The celebrations were marked by a tribute to the martyrs of the Indian Armed Forces at NOIDA Shaheed Smarak. There was a live telecast of an address by Shri Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, wherein he spoke to the nation about the significance of the Kakori Train Action.

Following the live telecast, students from Army Public School, NOIDA, presented an engaging cultural program featuring patriotic songs, speeches, dances, and poem recitals. In addition, the next of kins of the martyrs of the Indian Army were honoured to recognize the supreme sacrifice of these brave soldiers who dedicated their lives to serving and protecting the nation.

The dignitaries offered motivational and inspiring words to the students, further enhancing the spirit of the occasion. The students also participated in a ‘Prabhat Pheri’ a morning procession intended to invigorate the community with patriotic fervor. The centenary celebrations were a significant tribute to the legacy of the Kakori Train Action and the valor of the martyrs who contributed to the nation's freedom.
