To promote the
holistic development of students, the school organized an educational excursion
for Class X students to the Gandhi Smriti Museum in New Delhi on 27 September
2024. Located on Tees January Marg, this historic building—where Mahatma Gandhi
spent the last 50 days of his life—has been converted into the Gandhi Smriti
Museum.
The museum captures a
significant portion of Indian history, displaying numerous photographs and 3-D
models depicting Mahatma Gandhi’s life and teachings. Personal artifacts of
Mahatma Gandhi are also on exhibit, offering an intimate glimpse into his daily
life. The museum features the path of Mahatma Gandhi’s final walk to the
inter-faith prayer gathering on the lawn, where he was tragically assassinated,
and allowing visitors to pay homage to the Father of the Nation. The trip
provided an enriching experience for both teachers and students.
