Army Public School, NOIDA achieved the second
position in Navyug, a highly
esteemed two-phase AI Hackathon organized by myAImate at the Army Institute of
Technology, Pune. The team, comprising Syed Mohd Jari Abbas Rizvi (VIII B),
Akshansh Tomar (IX B) and Bhavya Ghai (IX A), under the guidance of Ms. Meena
Bisht (TGT Computer Science) and a mentor from the Army Institute of Technology,
Pune, developed an innovative AI-based application named SafeStream. This
application is designed to predict users’ ages to filter content and promote
safe browsing practices.
The objective of the event was to foster
creativity, innovation, and technical proficiency among students from Army
Public Schools. The first phase of the hackathon involved an online quiz
assessing logical reasoning, basic programming and cognitive abilities. Out of
over 200 participating teams representing 50 schools, APS NOIDA emerged as one
of the top 40 teams to qualify for the second phase.
As part of the competition, the students
participated in online mentoring sessions that focused on block coding
platforms and refining their project. These sessions provided invaluable experience
in project development, technical learning and collaborative problem-solving.
The team's exemplary performance will be
recognized with certificates and a cash prize. This achievement highlights APS
NOIDA’s unwavering commitment to nurturing technological skills, innovation and
teamwork among its students. The school’s outstanding performance in Navyug underscores its dedication to
preparing students to address real-world challenges through cutting-edge,
innovative solutions.
