Army Public
School, NOIDA, achieved the second position
in Navyug, a two-phase AI Hackathon organized by myAImate
at the Army Institute of Technology, Pune.
The team, comprising Syed Mohd Jari Abbas Rizvi
(VIII-B), Akshansh Tomar (IX-B), and Bhavya Ghai (IX-A), developed an AI-based application, "SafeStream," designed to
predict users' ages for content filtering and ensuring safe browsing. The
project was developed under the mentorship of Ms. Meena
Bisht (TGT, Computer Science) and a faculty mentor from the Army Institute of Technology, Pune.
The
hackathon aimed to promote creativity, innovation and
technical proficiency among students from Army Public Schools. The first phase consisted of an online assessment evaluating logical reasoning, programming and cognitive
abilities, with over 200 teams from 50 schools
participating. APS NOIDA ranked among the top 40 teams qualifying for the second phase.
Finalists engaged in mentoring sessions
focused on block coding, project enhancement and
problem-solving strategies.
The team’s
exceptional performance will be acknowledged with certificates and a cash prize. This achievement reflects APS NOIDA’s commitment to fostering technological innovation,
problem-solving skills and teamwork, preparing students to develop practical
AI-driven solutions to contemporary challenges.
