APS NOIDA organized an Educational Trip to Mother Diary for students of class XII  on 15 May 2023. This field trip was part of the CBSE projects to be undertaken by the students. To understand the testing of milk for adulteration. To evaluate the phases of mother dairy products’ procurement, processing and delivery. To gauge the various levels of quality checks on milk and milk products. The students had the unique honour of witnessing and getting to know the fascinating and precise journey of milk from the dairy farmers to the consumer’s house. On entering the premises, they were impressed with the environmentally friendly landscape and were welcomed with some delicious vanilla milk. That was followed by an informative session regarding the various complexities of the milk production process. This involved various processes such as homogenization, clarification, and pasteurization. They were also thoroughly informed about the various constituents, enzymes etc. present in milk.  They also learned a lot about the management of the factory and how the principles of management were being followed there and all their doubts regarding the same were clarified. What proceeded next was an extremely interactive Q/A session where all their doubts regarding storage, production quality and testing were dealt with. Saving the best for the last they even got to witness a few tests regarding the testing of the quality of milk to see if any adulteration had taken place. They saw various tests regarding the addition of salt, urea and sodium carbonate/ sodium bicarbonate in the milk. All in all, it was an extremely enriching and unforgettable experience for the students of APS NOIDA.
